Reeta Peshawaria-Menon Fellowship Award for the year 2020

The India Vision Foundation, New Delhi is happy to declare the outcome of the selection process for the Reeta Peshawaria-Menon Fellowship Award for the year 2020 to celebrate excellence in the areas so dear to Reeta. The Panel of experts constituted by the IVF recommended that this year’s award be given to Dr. BALABASKAR KUPPUSAMY for their proposal on Life Skills for Adults with Developmental Disabilities – A module.



During the past 22 years working transversely for persons with Developmental Disabilities and their family members. Extensive knowledge in working with Civil Society Organization and National Institute's at NIEPID and PIEPMD. Now actively involved in the empowerment effort of adults with Multiple Disablities & Additional Disablities. Expertise include Skilling, Curriculum Design for vocational course and sustainable Employment models cutting across ages & severity. At present suppoting RCI as zonal coordinator and board of studies members for Universities. Area of interest comprise empowement of family members, self-advocacy programme for adults, applications of ICT in independent living and implementation of schemes & programme. During this tenure persued Bachlor degree in Mental Retardation and master's programme in special education with a doctorate programme in Rehabitation Psychology.
